Book available from Historical Society

Copies of the book Remembering Wayne: A Pictorial View of the People, Places, and Pastimes of Wayne County, New York, are now available for purchase at the Old Jail Museum, 21 Butternut St., Lyons. This is the third and final printing of the Wayne County Historical Society book.

This 250-page, soft-covered, publication contains approximately 500 captioned pictures that reflect the first 150 years of Wayne County's 175 years of history. The Lyons National Bank generously sponsored the book's initial publication. Chapter titles of the book include Trains, Trolleys & Transportation, School Days, People & Pastimes, The Canal, Wayne County, Sodus Point, Red Creek, and other titles naming each of the County's 15 towns. Nearly every chapter includes a brief historical comment pertaining to that section.

Books are being sold for $25 a copy. The profits from book sales will go to fund future Society publications. Since over half of the books in this print run (220) have already been sold through pre-sales, you are encouraged to purchase books as soon as possible to avoid being disappointed. There will be no future printings of this book.
