Veterinarian marks 91 years

Twelve family members of Dr. Harold B. Walters gathered April 19 at the Blossom View Nursing Home to celebrate Doc's 91st birthday.

Dr. Walters, a retired veterinarian, enjoyed the surprise party, with cake, special candies and presents. He especially enjoyed seeing his great-grandchildren, Jacob and Jessica Smith with their mother, Jennifer Smith, and Nicolas Eggleston, along with his mom and dad, Laura and Jamie Eggleston from Schenectady.

Others attending were Andrew VanLare from Rochester, Sue Walters, Dave and Diane VanLare of Marion and his brother and sister-in-law, John and Norma Walters of Palmyra.

Also attending the party was Doc's cat 'Tipper,' a frequent visitor to the nursing home who now makes his home with the VanLares.
