Meet Newark BOE candidates

A Meet The Candidates night will be held May 17 at Newark High School.

At the event, the five candidates who are running for three seats on the board will answer a series of questions posed by the Rev. Frank Comer, who will serve as moderator.

Elly Dawson, librarian at Newark Public Library, will serve as the time keeper as each answer is given.

The line-up of candidates, for the May 21 board election (in which two, three-year terms and one, one-year term will be decided) are: Russell Harris, Mary Moseley, Barbara Wheeler, Nancy Rohlin and John Vair.

The event, that will be held from 7:30-9 p.m. in Room 299, the NHS television studio, and will be aired live on Channel 12.

The public is invited to attend the Kelley Intermediate School PTA-sponsored event.
