Happy 107th birthday wishes to Jennie Hermanet from her Marion friends.

Al and Leigh Lo Maglio celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary on Saturday. About 60 people surprised them at a dinner at Miceli's restaurant in Macedon.

May 13: The United Church of Marion will be holding a chicken and biscuit dinner. Stop by anytime after 4:30 p.m. for a delicious repast with homemade pies.

Net Care Pregnancy Center will have an auction on June 15 in Palmyra and your donations will be greatly appreciated. Drop them off at the center at 608 E. Main St. on Saturdays from 9 to noon.

The Scarlet Thread Garage Sale will be May 31 and June 1.

Ardie's Sidewalk Bistro is open next to Maryellen's Main Street Cafe, in beautiful downtown Marion. Featuring hots, ground steaks, shakes, fries, rings, ice cream and lots more!

Arriving home from Florida in time to celebrate Helen's birthday, she and Rod Adriaansen accompanied by her sister, Irene Klaeysen, enjoyed dinner at the Garlock House on May 4.

'There's no surer sign of Spring then a yard full of bright yellow dandelions and there's no dandier place to appreciate this worthy weed then your kitchen!' Dandelions are nature's good-deed weeds because they're remarkably nutritious. For your information, dandelions give you more vitamin C than tomatoes, more vitamin A than carrots and just as much iron as spinach!

The annual Senior Citizens dinner is May 16 at the High School at 6:15 p.m.

The last Marion American Legion Roast Beef dinner of the season will be served at the Legion Home TODAY!

Rod and Helen Adriaansen spent Grandparents Day with their granddaughter, Kali, in Elmira last week.

Marion SOC meeting - 7 p.m. at the High School Library.

May 10, 1913: Charles Seybold is erecting a storage building by the railroad for his accommodation at the mill. Grain and feed can be unloaded direct from car to building, thus saving the cost of teaming.

The Friends of the Library meeting was held April 22. Why don't you renew your membership now? Dues are $5 for a buddy and $10 for a real friend. Plans are being made for a book sale to be held June 8.

East Palmyra Christian School is hosting a pre-school open house. there are two opportunities for families interested in next year's pre-school to visit the school! One pre-school open house will be held Tuesday evening, May 14 from 6:30-7:15 p.m. with another one held Friday, May 24 from 6:30-7:15 p.m.
