Exploring Zurich Bog

Celebrate spring! The Newark Public Library invites you to come explore one of Wayne County's ecological treasures - The Zurich Bog, designated a National Natural Landmark. (A National Natural Landmark is defined as a 'nationally significant natural area.')

Join Mona Rynearson as she introduces the bog's special flora and fauna in a presentation on Wednesday, May 22 at 7 p.m. The presentation will take place in the library's community room and is free and open to the public. Coffee and refreshments will be served.

The presentation will be followed by a guided tour of the bog on Saturday, May 25 at 9 a.m.
