Volunteers needed at County Museum

The Wayne County Museum is looking for people of all ages to join its Volunteer team. The assignments available at the museum don't necessarily require a large commitment of time and can provide an interesting outlet for anyone's energy, regardless of the person's age, talent or background.

High school and college student volunteers are needed to assist with school groups and perform clerical and receptionist duties throughout the summer, on weekends, and school holidays. Student volunteers are also needed to help the staff welcome visitors and assist on the exhibit floor.

Non-student volunteers are needed to greet visitors, answer the phone, assist with data entry, catalogue artifacts, and assist with craft classes.

There are also two seats vacant on the Board of Directors, and Wayne County towns that are not represented presently are Rose, Sodus, Macedon, Butler and Ontario. Board meetings are held on the second Tuesday of the month at 9 a.m.

For more information call the Society office at 946.4943, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesday-Friday.
