Congratulations to the Junior Band for a successful trip to Toronto on May 4. The band received a rating of Superior for their performance.

The high school 2002 Yearbook will be delivered soon. If you wish to order a copy, call Kathleen Paetzold or Stephanie Gartner at the high school ASAP. There are a few copies available. Don't miss out!

Dick and Millie Loucks and family send a special Thanks to their wonderful friends for their many acts of kindness during the recent bereavement of Millie's mother, Millie VanSant Tuttle. Mrs. Tuttle passed away on April 25 at the age of 93 leaving 91 descendants.

Mother's Day testimonies by Tom Hawn and Amy Magde were given at the Second Reformed Church on May 12, honoring their mothers.

Nancy DeFisher is up from her home in Florida, visiting family and friends.

The Marion Masons are holding a chicken barbecue on Saturday, May 18 at their lodge on North Main Street. Servings begin at 3:30 p.m. and continue till all are sold. Take-outs will be available. The ladies of the Eastern Star will be holding a pie sale.

Marge Smith has been transferred to the Wayne County Nursing Home for physical therapy.

A mother and child banquet will be held at the United Church in their fellowship hall on Saturday, June 17. All moms, sons, daughters, aunts, grandmas and special friends are invited for a 'Hats Off To Mom' evening. This will be a dish-to-pass dinner.

No one ever says 'It's only a game' when their team is winning!

Barb DeWandel is recovering from shoulder surgery at her home.

School Budget Vote is May 21 at the Elementary School auditorium from 1-9 p.m.

On May 19, Doug Schwaderer, from the Jail Ministry, will bring greetings at the morning worship service at the Second Reformed Church and will speak during the Sunday School hour.

May 16, 1957: Gordon D. Hale of Manlius has bought an interest in the Marion Home Lumber, Inc. to replace Erwin G. Radley as a stockholder and manager.

Jake Haak had surgery recently at the Rochester General Hospital.

Valgeen VerPlank is recovering from surgery.
