Biker parade helps Mercy Flight Central

On June 1, hundreds of motorcycle enthusiasts will gather at Harv's Harley-Davidson to ride from there to Mercy Flight Central in Canandaigua.

Ride for Life has been organized by Kim Wyman, owner of Harv's.

Paul Hyland, President of Mercy Flight Central, said, 'Over the years many motorcycle groups have put on events to raise funds for us, but never anything this big.'

Wyman said, 'The parade is a way for the bikers to help Mercy Flight and do what they love - ride!'

Registration is from 10 to noon at Harv's; cost is $20 per bike. Participants receive a 'Ride for Life' T-shirt, lunch and door prize ticket. The Wayne County Harley Owners Group will have a pancake breakfast at Harv's from 10-11:30.

Lunch will be provided by the Log Cabin Restaurant, at Mercy Flight Central.

The parade leaves from Harv's at noon, goes through Macedon and travels County Road 28 to Mercy Flight. Watch the parade from West Wayne Plaza on Route 31 in Macedon.

Harv's is located at 3120 Kittering Road, Macedon; 585.377.0711.
