Five join Lyons church

On May 18, students in the 2002 confirmation class were welcomed into full membership at the First Presbyterian Church of Lyons.

The students, their sponsors and parents enjoyed a delicious breakfast, prepared by the Patricia Wallace and The Christian Education Committee. The young people also took part in worship on Sunday, May 19 and were recognized by The Rev. Cynthia Huling Hummel, the pastor of the church.

The confirmands included: Sonya Clark, Kurt Simmons, Nicole Leo, Amanda Flaherty and Jonathan Allen- all of Lyons. The church is handicapped accessible and is located at the corner of Queen Street and Broad street in Lyons.

Worship is Sunday mornings at 10 and child care is available for infants and toddlers. For more information, call 946.4723.
