County Museum needs mannequins

The Wayne County Historical Society is looking for mannequins to use at the County Museum in Lyons.

'After decades of faithful service, our three mannequins have to be retired from exhibit life,' says Director Andrea Evangelist.

'The male mannequin is missing an arm, the little girl is missing one hand and all the fingers on the remaining hand, and the female mannequin has had her fingers reglued and repainted so many times that she is beginning to look arthritic,' Evangelist said.

Mannequins are used at the Museum to model uniforms and all styles of period clothing. The Society is in need of mannequins of either gender, and could also use dress forms. Since the Wayne County Historical Society is a not-for-profit agency, any donations would be tax-deductible.
