Newark Memorial Day Parade

Former Newark Mayor, Lt. Col. Fred J Pirelli (USAR), presided over Sunday's Memorial Day ceremonies in Central Park.

The weather was fine for the afternoon parade, which included the Newark High Marching Band.

Recent park improvements included new flags, sidewalks and lighting. Receptions at the VFW and the American Legion followed the day's events.
