Justin Kraham

Justin Kraham has won the prestigious American Legion Baseball Scholarship for New York State.

This is a $1000 nationwide scholarship, with one winner chosen from each of the 50 state, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico.

Lee Prong, Manager of the Newark American Legion August Mauer Post 286 baseball team, nominated Kraham for this award.

'The scholarship is awarded to an American Legion Baseball player whose character, high moral standing and leadership abilities, both on and off the playing field, exemplify those qualities upheld by the American Legion. Justin embodies those characteristics and we are very proud to have him so honored,' said Prong.

Justin 'Lenny' Kraham is a 2002 graduate of Newark High School and is in his freshman year at Albany School of Pharmacy.
