B&B driving tour this Sunday

On November 17, enjoy the Wayne County Bed & Breakfast Open House. Tour 12 of Wayne County's B&Bs, all decked out for the holidays.

Stops will provide the visitor with unique gift giving and decorating ideas along with historical background on the house. Sample a variety of treats at each stop and purchase the Apple Country B&B Cookbook. The book includes favorite recipes from the proprietors.

The participating B&Bs include the Peppermint Cottage B&B and Roselawn B&B, both located in Lyons. Traveling east to Palmyra you will find the Canaltown B&B and the Thomas Galloway House at Paragon Farm. The Hamlet of Pultneyville is home to three B&Bs, is located along the Seaway Trail and lies on the shore of Lake Ontario. Don't miss a stop at the Captain Throop House B&B, Foxglove on the Lake B&B and Raked South Garden B&B.

Traveling east to Sodus you'll find the Tanniquetil B&B, Maxwell Creek B&B and just down the road in Sodus Point is Silver Waters B&B. The last stop on the tour is the Village of Wolcott, home to New Hartford on the Ridge and Bonnie Castle Farm B&B.

The cost to participate in the tour is $10 for an advance ticket. Tickets may be purchased from the local B&Bs, Webster Pennysaver, Lyons National Bank, Timesaver in Palmyra, WCTAs, Through the Garden Gate Store in Macedon and the Cornell Co-op Extension Office in Newark.

Cost of tickets will be $13 after tomorrow (Fri., Nov. 15). To receive your ticket and map call the Extension office at 331.8415.
