Community Thanksgiving Service in Newark

The Community Thanksgiving Service, sponsored jointly by Together In Christ (TIC) and the Newark Clergy Fellowship will be held November 27 at Park Presbyterian Church at 7:30 p.m.

This yearly service provides an opportunity for the community to gather together in thanksgiving. An added blessing this year will be the first public performance of the Newark Children's Choir, directed by Laurie Williams.

Clergy participating will be Rev. Peter Clifford, Rev. Dan Benedict, Rev. Timothy Johnson, Rev. Carlos Smith, Rev. Elton Smith, and Rev. John Watkins.

The offering received will be given to the Newark Food Closet and the Free Lunch Program at the Emmanuel United Methodist Church.
