County's Forever Green Tree Program

The Wayne County Soil & Water Conservation District (SWCD) is announcing their 2003 Forever Green Tree Program. This program makes available tree and shrub seedlings suitable for reforestation, wildlife habitat, watershed protection, erosion control, residential beautification and general environmental improvement. Over 35 species available including evergreens, deciduous trees, groundcover and shrubs.

Also available are Bluebird nesting boxes. The Bluebird is the State bird of New York and was once in decline due to competition with other birds. This program is open to the public.

Order forms, information and pricing is available at the SWCD office, 10 Leach Road in Lyons or by calling the SWCD office at 946.4136. Anticipated pick-up dates are April 18 and 19 in Alton. Help keep your county 'Forever Green.'
