Historic cemetery tours in Pultneyville

Join the ghosts of yesteryear at the Lake View Cemetery in Pultneyville. Spirits are waiting to tell their stories during the Pultneyville Historical Societies Annual Cemetery Tour. Tiptoe through the tombstones with Town Historian, Chet Peters this Friday and Saturday (Oct. 11 & 12). Tales of past glory, infamy and intrigue await as Peters visits with personages from local history.

Two tours will be conducted each evening at 7 and 8 p.m. with cider and donuts waiting at Gates Hall after each walk.

The cost is $5 per person or $10 per family, with children under 12 free.

Lake View Cemetery is located on West Lake Road, just west of Route 21 in Pultneyville. Burials there began in the early 1800's. Bring your courage and curiosity along with a flashlight and warm clothing.
