Kristin Blair Soccer player may be Olympic material

Kristin Blair, daughter of John and Diane Blair of Arcadia, has been selected to participate in the Olympic Development Program in soccer.

The program aims to identify and advance the most talented and passionate youth soccer players through state, regional and national team selection and competitions.

On September 28, nearly 300 players participated in the tryouts for the NYSWYSA ODP program in both Syracuse and Rochester. Kristin was chosen and advanced into the final tryouts on October 6 at Total Sports Experience in Rochester, where she was selected to be a member of the state winter pool.

Kristin has been playing soccer since she was five years old. She started in Newark in the AECC summer soccer program. She started indoor soccer four years ago playing for the Lyons Community Center junior soccer program. Last winter she played indoor soccer in Manchester on the Newark team.

She is currently a 7th grader at the Newark Middle School, and is a starter for the Junior Varsity Reds Soccer Team.
