Local kids enter Scarecrow Contest
DeSales High School entered the Downtown Scarecrow Contest. DeSales students
Zachary Powell from Lyons and Glenn Wandell from Oaks Corners put together this scarecrow. The theme for this year's contest was Disney characters, so DeSales recruited 'Air Bud' to play for DeSales as their entry. Powell is the son of Julie Powell from Newark and Tim Powell from Lyons. Powell is a graduate of St. Michael School in Newark and is a sophomore at DeSales. Wandell is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Barney Wandell.
