Newark Playschool opens soon

The fall session of the Li'l Reds Playschool at Newark High School will begin Tuesday, November 5.

There's a Tuesday/Thursday schedule this semester; each session will run from 9:30-10:45 a.m. They will meet for 14 sessions.

This playschool, sponsored by the Family and Consumer Science Department, is open to children ages three to five in the community. The children participate in a variety of activities to enhance fine and gross motor skills. They will enjoy circle time and reading. Students in the Child Psychology classes act as 'teachers' for the program, preparing the session activities and projects and gaining experience in working with young children.

Parents interested in registering their pre-schoolers for this free program should tely contact Barbara Mikler-Crandon, the Family and Consumer Science teacher, by calling 332.3240.

Registration is limited to 12 children and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
