learn more! Sodus supper will help American Stroke Association

Julie Cline of Macedon (formerly of Sodus) will be running the Walt Disney Marathon in memory of her father, Gerald Cline.

She joined 'Train To End Stroke' program, which is sponsored by the American Stroke Association. 'Train To End Stroke' is a National campaign, which the American Stroke Association developed to raise funds for research and treatment of stroke patients. The American Stroke Association (ASA) trains people of all ages, from beginners to experts, to run or walk a marathon (26.2 miles), in honor or memory of a stroke patient.

While doing this, each team member is asked to raise a minimum amount of money. When the fundraising goal is met, the team member will travel to Walt Disney with all arrangements made by ASA. The team member will then compete in the Walt Disney Marathon.

Cline is having a spaghetti dinner to benefit the American Stroke Association, to be held on November 8 at the Sodus Center Fire Hall. The dinner will be between 6-8 p.m. Donations will be $6. Children under 10 will be $3. The meal comes will homemade desserts and drinks. Items and certificates will be raffled.

Contact Julie at 986.1971 or Jenni Vaughan at 585.697.6273 for more information.
