Docent Training at the Museum The Wayne County Historical Society will be conducting a Docent Training Class on September 17, from 10-noon, at the County Old Jail Museum, 21 Butternut St., Lyons. Volunteer positions for docents are available for people who enjoy local history and are 16 years of age or over. Participants will learn about Wayne County history and be taught the skills necessary to interpret the Museum's permanent exhibits to school, scout, senior and community groups, and other visitors through guided tours. The docent course is a unique educational experience as well as an opportunity to get involved as a key volunteer in a fascinating Museum.
