At Lyons Farmers' Market this week

This Saturday (Sept. 21) will be a busy day at the Lyons Farmers' Market. The Lyons Heritage Society will sponsor a bake sale and have for sale commemorative tea towels, Lyons coverlets and peppermint candy.

Sharon Morano, a nutrition outreach worker with Cornell Cooperative Extension, will be offering samples of an eggplant dish - Ratatouille. She'll also have recipes available. The Lyons Library will be hosting a Market scavenger hunt for the children.

Drop by the Market to shop for all the luscious fall fruits and vegetables, baked goods, plants, flowers and crafts. Each week brings something new.

The Market opens from 7:30 to 11 a.m. each Saturday morning around the Village Park.

WIC coupons are accepted by participating farmers.
