At Heritage Square this weekend

Heritage Square Museum in Ontario will be alive with the sound of music, Sept. 28 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Supported in part by a grant from the Wayne County Council for the Arts, the Lakeside Country Cloggers will be dancing merrily away. They were well received last year, getting young and old involved with audience participation.

Hammers 'N Picks, folk singers from the Golden Link Folk Singing Society, will be performing. A women's barbershop quartet will walk the grounds, sharing a capella music in and out of historic buildings.

The eight historic buildings will also be open to the public with guided tours. There will be demonstrations of old style handicrafts, crafters, hay rides, antique vehicles, and good food.

There will be Bossie Bingo with proceeds going towards the maintenance of Heritage Square. For a modest donation of $5 you'll get a ticket with a number on it. This number corresponds with numbered squares on a fenced in field. In the early afternoon we let three cows loose in the field ... and wait and watch. First place is $200, second is $100 and third is $50.
