East Palmyra Harvest Fest

October 5 is the date for the 22nd Annual Harvest Festival and Auction at East Palmyra Christian School.

You'll enjoy the crisp fall air and the aroma of chili, homemade soups, hot dogs, hamburgers, ollie bollen, homemade pies and desserts, and new this year - Chicken BBQ ($6, pre-purchasing tickets strongly recommended). Take outs are available.

There will also be an array of plants and produce, baked goods and crafts, as well as bargains of new and used merchandise.

Over 100 businesses and people have donated service coupons and merchandise. You will see the result of the efforts of many people baking, creating, working, and bringing in harvest products. The doors will open at 11:30 am, with silent bidding available until 5:30.

Auctioneer Henry W. Kuperus will begin the live auction bidding at 6 p.m. Meanwhile for the children, there will be games, a hay maze and four-wheeler rides. There's a car wash by the 7th and 8th graders, a can/bottle drive, and a clothing drive for over-used clothes (plus belts, purses, shoes, curtains, and linens).

Plan for a great day in the country at East Palmyra Christian School, 2023 East Palmyra-Pt. Gibson Rd. on October 5.

For more details, starting times (Chicken BBQ, Car Wash), a list of incoming donations, or information on how to donate, visit www.eastpalchristian.com or call the school at 597.4400.
