Historical grant program

The Wayne County Antique Dealers Association has announced its Historical Grant Program to be dispensed to chartered historical societies in the county.

All qualifying societies have been invited to submit detailed grant applications by November 30; notification of awards will be made in January.

The total grant allotment of $1250 may be given to one group or divided among several applicants. In 2001, awards were given to the Galen Historical Society, Lyons Heritage Society and the Town of Rose Historical Society.

The Dealers Association, which was founded in 1967, initiated the partnership program in 1996 to allow continuous cumulative support for the historical, cultural and creative life of Wayne County.

The Harvest Antique Show will be October 26 and 27 at the Williamson High School.
