Missing Sodus I think this weekend Spring forgot it was supposed to hang around. It was a little chilly hanging up the Easter eggs from the bushes - almost as cold as hanging up the Christmas lights. Lorrie Zone apparently knew the winter winds would be blowing through again before Spring actually arrived - she went on a cruise to the Bahamas. By the time she gets back, Spring will have sprung (hopefully for all of us). Ruthie Downey just purchased her first new home. Congratulations to her. There are a lot of April Birthdays: Michelle Abbey, April 12; Amber Malone, April 14; Lindsey Hamilton, April 14; Rachel White, April 22; Bobby Hooper, April 8; Carol Garland, April l9; and Becky Clark on April 21. Happy Birthday, everyone! Tomorrow, there is a Spring Fling planned in Williamson Town Park at 1 p.m. Not sure that the weather will cooperate, but plans include a visit from the Easter Bunny, an Egg Hunt, and a Ham raffle. The day was planned by the Apple Blossom Committee. On Sunday, There will be an All-you-can-eat Pancake Breakfast at the Williamson American Legion on Lake Ave. Pancakes, sausage, eggs, juice and coffee, 8 a.m. until noon. Advanced sale tickets only. Part of the fun of Easter is the big Easter egg hunt. The kids look so cute looking for the eggs. The really little ones aren't sure what's up, but they go along with the other kids anyway. April 12 at ll a.m. at the L.W. Emporium in Ontario. Today is again Friday - Lenten Fish Dinner at the Fairville Fire Hall from 4:30 until ? If you have stories you'd like to share, special dates or events please let me know and I'll add them to the column. People who have lived in Wayne County love to read about what's going on in your neighborhood. Keep the men and women overseas in your thoughts and prayers. Hopefully the war will be over soon and they can come home. Remember at the end of your busy and eventful day to say an extra prayer for everyone over in Iraq - the service people fighting for freedom and the Iraqi people themselves. Have a great week, I hope to hear from you very soon.
