Playschool at Newark High

The spring session of the Li'l Reds Playschool at Newark High School will begin April 22. It's a Tuesday/Thursday schedule, each session runs from 9:20 to 10:45 a.m. There are 14 sessions.

This playschool, sponsored by the Family and Consumer Science Department, is open to children ages three to five in the community. The children participate in a variety of activities to enhance fine and gross motor skills.

They will enjoy circle time and reading. Students in the Child Psychology classes act as 'teachers' for the program, preparing the session activities and projects and gaining experience in working with young children.

Parents interested in registering their pre-schoolers for this free program should immediately contact Barbara Mikler-Crandon, at the high school at 332.3240, or a voice mail message can be left at 332.3300, ext. 7529. Registration is limited to 12 and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
