History at Night tonight at Museum
Wayne, for whom Wayne County was named, was one of the most colorful Generals of the 18th-century United States and a hero of the American Revolution. Harris is President of the Lyons Heritage Society and author of Small Beginnings - The Story of Newark, New York. She is working on a biography of General Anthony Wayne and also writing a book on the POW camps of Wayne County. The lecture will begin at 7 p.m. at the Museum on Butternut St., Lyons. The public is invited to attend this free event but reservations are required as seating space is limited. Call 946.4943 to make reservations. Zappia Vending Service Inc. and the Wayne County Historical Society will provide refreshments for the event.
