Earth Day plans in Lyons

Earth Day (which was recognized yesterday, April 22) will be celebrated this Saturday, April 26, at the Lyons Community Center, 51 Broad Street. There will be a special Earth Day celebration from 9 to noon. Weather permitting, we will do a downtown Lyons litter clean-up. Indoor activities at the Center are designed for both children and adults, including: making a lamb basket from recycled materials; learning more about gardening and compost making; listening to stories with an environmental theme; watching a nature video; discussing ecological issues and enjoying a concert by Beth Whitbeck.

Refreshments will be available.
