Sodus CROP walk

The Sodus Council of Churches is sponsoring a six-mile walk for hunger around and though the village on Sunday, May 4. Registration will begin at 1 p.m. and the walk begins at 1:30 from Church of Epiphany.

Chairpeople are Peter Bump and Cindy Van Hoover. As a walker, you will ask family, friends, and neighbors to sponsor you for the six-mile walk. Sponsor forms and walker materials will be available at the churches or call Kitty Kelly 483.4259.

Although most of the funds raised will be used by Church World Service in overseas relief and development work, 25 percent of what is raised will come back to the Sodus area shared by the Nutrition Center and Sodus Point Food Cupboard.

For the May 2002 Sodus walk, 48 walkers raised $2441.

$50,614 has been raised in CROP WALKS in Sodus over the years. CROP WALKS are a team effort, putting caring into action.
