Puppets at Lyons Library

On Friday, August 8 at 1 p.m., Tom Knight Puppets will perform at the Lyons Public Library. Tom is a singer, songwriter, puppeteer and bandleader from Ithaca. Using a portable stage and his own colorful puppets, Knight alternates between songs with guitar, and puppet skits, to give his audience the elements of a concert with the action of a puppet show.

He's been performing since 1986 and can be seen with Tom Knight Puppets, Tom Knight and the Blue Moon swing band, or singing with Jim Lawrence in coffeehouse concerts.

He has five recordings for families including When I Grow Up, Don't Kiss a Codfish, Easy as Pie, Peanut Butter and Jelly's Greatest Hits and, his latest, The Library Boogie.

This program is free and open to everyone. 946.9262.
