African dance lessons & Imani Festival

Wayne County Multicultural Arts Project will conduct West African Dance Classes under the direction of Anisha Hassan-Fagan. Training will be held Thursdays, August 7, 14, 21 & 28, from 5:30-8:30 p.m. at the Sodus Central School Intermediate Gym.

The Multicultural Arts Project will present the Imani Festival on August 16 at the Park Presbyterian Church, Maple Court, Newark. The festival will begin at 8 a.m. with a continental breakfast.

Guest speakers are Carleen Frost and Charles Jackson. Frost will lead a workshop entitled, 'How To Connect With Self.' This workshop will include how to write poetry in a recipe format, and a reading from Carleen book.

Jackson will read from his book which deals with his experience as a migrant worker.
