Patches and programs for Girl Scouts

The Wayne County Historical Society is offering Scout programs for the 2003-04 school year.

Programs are available for Daisy, Brownie, Junior, Cadette, or Senior Girl Scouts. The program fee for Daisy and Brownies is $3 per scout and fees for Juniors, Cadettes, or Senior Girl Scout programs is $4 per girl.

A museum participation patch is available for Cadettes and Senior Girl Scouts. To earn the Wayne County Museum Patch, scouts complete five activities and tour the Old Jail Museum in Lyons.

The activities include learning about 19th century architecture and taking an architecture discovery walk, learning about maple sugaring, learning about quilting and working on a quilt, viewing photographs taken from the Museums collection to learn about clothing and hairstyles, and dressing in actual 19th century clothes for instant photos for the girls to take home.
