Children's author in Newark Saturday

Children's author Michelle Knudsen will be reading her books and talking a little about how books are created.

The event, sponsored by the Newark Kiwanis and a Wal-Mart grant, will be held at the Newark Public Library on August 16 at 1 p.m. in the library Community Room.

Knudsen is the author of more than 20 books, primarily for elementary grade children, including Cat Hat, Colorful Chameleons, Princess Party, Autumn is for Apples, and Fairy Friends. After the program, Michelle Knudsen will autograph copies of her books, which will be for sale at the library.
