Potato Fest cooking contest

During the Potato Festival on September 27, there will be a Cooking Contest for everyone to enter.

You need regular or sweet potatoes, and you can serve them as a main dish, or in a bread or even in a dessert.

While you are on the ground, you can check out the potato fudge and other potato dishes. All entries need to be at the dining tent before noon on Saturday and the winner will be announced by 2 p.m. There is no cost to enter, thanks to Breen and Young Construction of Clyde and R.L. Breen Painting and Restoration who sponsor the Potato Fest Cooking Contest.

There are cash prizes for the first, second and third place winners, with the Grand Champion receiving $100.
