Blood drives in Lyons, Williamson

Blood is especially needed at the end of the summer.

The Lyons Fire Department and the Rotary Club of Lyons will sponsor a blood drive on Wednesday, September 3 from 2 to 7 at the Fire Department on Water Street.

One blood donation can help up to three individuals in need of blood.

If you are between the ages of 17 and 65, in good health, weigh at least 110 pounds and have not given blood in the past 8 weeks, you may donate on Sept. 3.

The United Methodist Church, 4146 E. Main Street, Williamson will be the site of a blood drive on Friday, September 12 from 1 to 6.

Volunteers from the church and community will be working at the drive and are asking all eligible donors to plan to donate. Call 331.3783 for appointment for either drive.
