School programs from WCHS

The Wayne County Historical Society has announced program topics now available for scheduling for the fall term of school.

Lecture topics are:

A Trip to the Outhouse; The Erie Canal, The Underground Railroad; Murders, Mystery and Madness; Hoboes, Tramps, and Bums; Quilts and the Underground Railroad; The Hanging of William Fee; the Old Wayne County Jail.

Slide show topics are:

Wayne County Architectural Styles, Cobblestone Architecture, Cemetery Symbolism,

School Programs are 50 minutes long, are of an historical nature, and emphasize local ties to New York State and national history.

Topics are: Pioneer Everyday Life; Everyday Life in Great Grandmother's Day; History of the Erie Canal; Those Cantankerous Finger Lakes Females; All Around Wayne County; Wayne County Business and Industry; The Underground Railroad; Architectural Styles in Wayne County; Early Education and Schools in Wayne County; History of Religion in Wayne County; and A Visit from Mrs. Cooper (abolitionist).

Teachers should call the Museum to receive the special school price and program terms.
