John C. Lonneville was shoveling his sidewalk before church and thought he heard jingle bells. (Pictured) 'To my delight, there was Mr. Boerman and his son on their way to church, in a One Horse Open Sleigh. Thank you for really adding to the sights and sounds of the Holidays!'

Erin G. Bushart was one of 52 students inducted into Phi Theta Kappa at Monroe Community College. Bushart was honored for her academic success and involvement in college and community activities. Students must have earned at least 18 credits toward their degree, with at least 15 credits earned at MCC, and have a grade-point average of 3.75 or higher.

Cleall Johnson has had recent knee surgery.

Anne LaFlam of Sunset Drive had the misfortune to fall and break her leg.

DECEMBER 21, 1933: A Community Event, the first of its kind in Marion, started by the Marion Fire Department will take place Sunday evening at 6 in Firemen's Park. There will be a 30-minute service, a lighted Christmas tree, candy, popcorn, and oranges will be given to the children.

Happy Birthday Wishes to Florence Johnson on December 23 from her Marion friends.

Pearl Dey is recovering from cataract surgery.

Christmas Eve Service is 7:30 at St. Gregory's; 7 p.m. at Second Reformed Church, with Pastor Stock presenting the message.

The JV Girls Basketball team defeated Williamson by the score of 34-32. The Lady Knights erased an 8 point second half deficit to earn the victory. Ryan Ianello led the Knights with 14 points, while Terri Bove and Laurie East each chipping in six points a piece. Melissa Boise and Nicole 'Red' Clark each turned in solid defensive efforts.

The varsity boys basketball team defeated Clyde-Savannah on Dec. 18 58-40. Kyle Elvin hit four 3-pointers and finished with a game-high 16 points and eight assists. On Dec. 12, they outscored North Rose-Wolcott 74-60. Jared Schutt scored 26 points as high scorer.

Girls varsity defeated Williamson 49-29 on Dec. 8

7th grade girls defeated Clyde 38-19 and again, 41-4.
