Sodus Scouts plan Reunion

On Saturday, February 8, Sodus Troop 111 will hold its 80-year reunion from noon to 5 at the United Methodist Church on Belden Avenue in Sodus.

A Court of Honor will be held at 5, followed by a chicken and biscuit dinner at 5:30.

A complimentary dinner ticket will be given to any former Troop 111 member by calling Karl Stocker, no later than Tuesday February 4 at 483.4762 (extra tickets are $4).

All past Troop members are invited to attend. Former scoutmasters, scouts, and committee members will be there.

The dining hall will be used to display 80 years of scouting memorabilia from Sodus Troop 111. Fred Murszewski and Ray Columbe have been gathering the archive materials for the display.

The display includes some 600+ slides of local and national scouting events. There are hundreds of photographs, dating to the 1930's. The history of the Camp Horn Farm will also be on display.

There will be an award for the oldest former Troop 111 Scout that comes to the reunion.
