Golden Anniversary for the Adriaansens

50 years! Gord and I have been married 50 years - I can't believe it!

That day, we awoke to a rainy morning - not the snow we have been enjoying lately - roads and fields were bare - my Grandma LaGasse assured us that 'rain before seven stops before eleven' - and that's exactly what happened.

50 years - they went by so fast. During that time we had four healthy, active children - three boys and one girl - and we have been proud and happy to be blessed to have six grandchildren join our family.

Our children and grandchildren have always been involved in all sports, providing much excitement.

Our greatest heartbreak was when our oldest grandson was killed in an accident at the age of 15.

We have always lived in the same house and have no plans to relocate soon.

50 years ... children and family members live close by - so we are never lonely.

My family treated us to dinner and our first limousine ride. Our children and grandchildren gathered at a nearby restaurant for a lovely dinner. And we and Gord's sister and husband enjoyed a nice dinner in honor of the anniversary. Lots of folks remembered us with cards and call of congratulations on the occasion of our 50th wedding anniversary.
