Homeschool Classes for teens

Homeschool Classes for Teens will begin in February 27 at 10:30 a.m. at the Old Jail Museum on Butternut Street, Lyons.

Homeschooled children, ages 12 and over may register for this one-hour program. The class will consist of a discussion of the 18th century world and the 18th century in Wayne County.

Students will learn about the 18th century in the first three classes and the 19th century in the following three.

People and places of the 18th century will be studied in the March 27 class and Daily Life of the 18th century will be studied in the April 24 class. Students will construct a timeline of major events. Each student should come to class with an event and its date for the timeline.

The 19th century will be studied in the September 25, October 30 and November 20 class.

The cost is $3 per student for Wayne County Historical Society members and $4 per student for non-members. Pre-registration is necessary. To register, call 946.4943.
