Strobridge to speak at luncheon The Friends of the Newark Public Library will hold their February luncheon meeting this Friday, February 14, at noon, at the library on High Street. Maurice Strobridge, a former Wayne County District Attorney and retired Wayne County Court Judge, serving in County, Family, Surrogate's and Supreme Courts, will be the guest speaker. Judge Strobridge is in private practice in Newark and serves as a Judicial Hearing Officer for the Seventh Judicial District. He will review the New York Times bestseller 'Justice,' by Dominick Dunne. Dunne chronicles the most famous crimes of recent decades, including the trials of Claus von Bulow, O.J. Simpson and Michael Skakel, in a book the Times describes as 'irresistible and which Entertainment Weekly calls 'undeniably fascinating.' Reservations for the $4 luncheon may be made by calling 331.4370.
