


Lyons Library will have delivery service
The Junior Friends of the Lyons Public Library is sponsoring a program called Books on Foot. Students will deliver books, CDs, magazines and books on tape to homebound residents in the village of Lyons the first Thursday of every month and return previously borrowed materials. The library is providing the book bags for this service.

Permission by parent or guardian is necessary to participate in this program.

Students must be at least 10 years of age to participate in this service and have signed permission by parent or guardian. (Get permission slip at the library.)

Participants are NOT allowed in patron's home or apartment.

Participants will deliver books in teams of two. Friends of the Library will accompany the youngest volunteers.
You are invited to the Ice Cream Social on March 6 at 3 o'clock. Book delivery will follow the meeting.
If you live in the village of Lyons and would like to receive this service, call 946.9262 to register. There is no fee for this service, but sign-up is necessary.
