Packets ready now for April History Jamboree

The Wayne County History Jamboree will be held April 12, from 10 to 2 at Ultralife Batteries in Newark.

The Jamboree offers students a chance to research an aspect of history and create a project to demonstrate what they have learned from their research.

Student information packets containing all necessary forms, dates, and guidelines are now available.

Public and parochial students may obtain packets at the schools. Home-schooled students may receive a packet by calling Sharon at 946.4943.

Projects can be videos, drawings, paintings, models, dioramas, folk arts, reports, photography, and almost anything that fits the Jamboree guidelines.

Selected projects will be featured in an exhibit at the Old Jail Museum in Lyons, April 29 to June 20.

Sponsored by the Wayne Historians Organization, the History Jamboree is open to all students in Wayne County.
