Cooking & swing music at Lyons Center

The Lyons Community Center announces that in March, activities at the Center take a new direction for community involvement.

The Center, through the generosity of the Robert Boehmler Foundation, will be presenting a new craft series for adults and children. Each month, the Center will feature a new craft class to be held each Saturday at 1 p.m.

The craft for March will be International Cooking class. Each week, participants will create (from scratch) a new and exciting culinary dish. Everyone will receive a copy of the recipe and hands-on instruction from local chef John Salone. There is a fee of $3 for each class.

Also, on March 29, from 7-9 p.m., the Center will present an evening of swing, featuring the big band sound of the Gateswingers. Tickets are available at the Cafe Roma, Dobbins Drugs, Lyons National Bank, Old Lyons Hardware, or at the Center.

We invite everyone to come in and participate at our craft series and be sure to come out for the concert.
