Eureka Grange News

The next meeting of Eureka Grange is Friday, Feb. 28, in Lyons.

Rob Williams from the Wayne County Soil and Water Conservation District will be the speaker. His topic will be about the multitude of programs that are available and will include pictures of completed projects. The service helps towns and villages, farmers, and sells trees and flowering bushes at reasonable prices.

The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. and anyone interested in knowing more about the many services is welcome to attend.

Several members attended the state legislative day at Cortland recently. Speakers were from the Rural Schools Program, the head of Cornell Cooperative Extension, State Senator William Magee, and representatives from State Senator Nancy Larraine Hoffman and the Attorney General's office.

Four members also worked at the New York State Grange display at the New York Farm Show in Syracuse.
