Happenings
'If at first you don't succeed, skydiving is not for you.' Barb and Bill DeWandel had a night out on the town on December 30, with their children and grandchildren, for a belated birthday celebration (Bill's 70th). They toured around Rochester and Northampton Park in a limo, then went to the Olive Garden Restaurant for dinner. Everyone had a great time! The Ministry of Music at the Second Reformed Church on January 5 was performed by Rachel Bailey, Emily Estochen and Hannah Steensma. They chose as their selection, Breath of Heaven. Bev Layton is back at her apartment at Sunset Drive, following a hospital stay. It is good to see that Sherwood Johnson is out and around following surgery. For all of you in sunny Florida, outside of our window lays a Winter Wonderland. January 14, 1899: J. Hesslor and Company have put 63 loads of ice in their cold storage this week - 100 tons. Congratulations to Sherwood and Darlene (Brown) DeLyser who were married at the Marion United Church on December 28.
Regarding this photo: Does anyone recognize the buildings pictured in this photograph which is at the Marion Museum?
