Students in Newark help Williamson Center
Maddy Amo and Nathan Staples

The St. Michael School FIAT Club, parents and volunteers, joined together to dig potatoes for the Come-Unity Center in Williamson. Faith In Action Today club includes students in grades 3-6.

The members practice the corporal and spiritual works of mercy. Pictured are Maddy Amo and Nathan Staples in the muck field, digging potatoes.

The potatoes that the students unearthed were planted in Marion on the property of Margaret Costello. Her children, John and Mary Rose, both attend St. Michael's.

Bob Bodine ('Farmer Bob') donated the potatoes to be planted. More than 100 pounds of potatoes were donated to needy families in Wayne County.
