Museum volunteers needed in Lyons

A dedicated family of Wayne County Historical Society volunteers serve as docents, clerical workers, and inventory personnel. Our volunteers also assist with the planning and construction of museum displays. In 2002, volunteers contributed over 3000 hours of service.

Two projects that will rely on volunteer help this spring are the construction of a parade float and remodeling the former Pure Oil Station on the corner of Geneva and Canal streets. Some ongoing projects are accessioning, inventorying the collections, and entering artifact information in the computer.

Volunteers are a vital part of all communities and volunteering is a special way to lend a helping hand. Please consider helping the museum. Call 946.4943, Tuesday-Friday.
