Forever Green tree program

The Wayne County Soil & Water Conservation District (SWCD) is promoting their 'Forever Green' Tree Program.

This program makes available bare root tree and shrub seedlings suitable for reforestation, wildlife habitat, watershed protection, erosion control, backyard conservation and general environmental improvement. Over 27 species are available including evergreens, deciduous trees, groundcover and flowering shrubs.

Also available are bluebird nesting boxes to help promote the New York State bird. This program is open to the public.

Order forms, information and pricing is available at the SWCD office, 10 Leach Road in Lyons, or call 946.4136 to have an order form sent to you.

Deadline to order is March 24. Anticipated pick-up dates are April 18 and 19 in Alton.
